Torrent de l’Ofre. Biniaraix
Canyoning with a hiking approach in amazing surroundings and with views of Vall de Sóller.
Description of the outing
This canyon situated in the Barranc de Biniaraix, near Sóller, starts in the valley between the mountains of l’Ofre and Cornadors, and supplies water to the village of Biniaraix. This is where the hour long ascending approach starts taking us along an ancient, stone path which dates back to roman times and connects the valleys of Orient and Sóller to the monastery of Lluc. The beauty of the area and impressive views are the principal attraction to this canyon. Having reached the top of the canyon thanks to this path, we start the official canyon, which is considered to be technical and includes rappels of up to 40 meters (possibly divided into 2), waterfalls, and numerous jumps into pools. We spend approximately 3 hours inside the canyon itself, depending on the number of participants and their experience.
