Description of the outing

Na Mora canyon is a classic on the island, lying between the mountains of Bàlitx and Montcaire in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana. This outing has two routes you can choose from:

Upper part: the trail from the starting point to the beginning of the descent takes approximately an hour and goes through gorgeous terrain near the Puig Major, eventually arriving to Bàlitx d’Avall. This first section of the canyon has a low technical rating and includes rappels of up to 9 meters and slippery slides we must agily avoid. To return to the starting point, we’ll leave the canyon bed and take a path over Cala Ferrera pass, 150 meters in altitude above us. Further ahead we’ll have views of s’Illeta and we’ll walk right under the Penyal Bernat, to later arrive to Port de Sóller where we’ll take a taxi back to the starting point.

Full canyon: for this option we will continue on after competing the first part, doing the second, more technical section as well, allowing us to finish at the sea cliffs and mouth of the canyon. A boat will be waiting for us there to take us back to Port de Sóller.
